2025 Bridal Season Wrapped

What Weddings Taught Me About Makeup, People, and Presence

Every bridal season feels a little bit like running a marathon in lashes, caffeine, and good vibes. You start excited, slightly nervous, wildly prepared… and somehow end up stronger, wiser, and more emotionally attached than you expected.

This season reminded me that bridal makeup is never just makeup. It’s trust. It’s emotion. It’s early mornings, Pinterest expectations, real skin, real feelings — and the responsibility of showing up calm, prepared, and grounded no matter what.

So if you’re a bride reading this, I want you to feel reassured.

And if you’re a fellow artist reading this — you’re not alone.

Let’s take a look back at my 2025 bridal season…

The Brides & Looks That Stayed With Me

One of my favourite bridal looks this season was on my best friend Julie — and honestly, she embodied everything I love about bridal beauty. We went for something romantic, chic, elegant, and timeless. Warm red hues that melted into her tan complexion, doll-like eyes that made you stop mid-sentence, and a brown-red lip that tied everything together effortlessly.

It was one of those looks where everything just clicked. The kind you finish and quietly think, “Yes. More of this in 2026, please.”

But beyond the aesthetics, the moments that stay with me the most are always about connection.

Victoria was one of those brides. We did two trials together — and that alone tells you something important: sometimes the first draft doesn’t work. Pinterest inspiration can be misleading (especially when AI and heavy editing are involved), and what looks dreamy online can feel like a lot on someone who doesn’t usually wear makeup.

The first trial wasn’t quite it — and that’s okay. We talked. We adjusted. We learned. By the second trial, we were aligned. And by the wedding day? Absolute magic.

But what made Victoria unforgettable wasn’t just the final look — it was the energy. Every time we sat down for glam, it felt like catching up with a friend. Laughter, conversations, real connection. By the end of it, we weren’t just client and artist — we genuinely became friends. Those are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

Unexpected Wins & Trial-to-Wedding Glow-Ups

One of the biggest glow-ups of the year was actually my very first bride of 2025.

Cassandra’s wedding was in January, and during her trial we created a beautiful warm soft smokey look. She looked stunning — but something needed a little extra umph. On the wedding day, we refined a few things: added a peachy-orange transition instead of red-brown, shortened the wing, swapped the shimmer for something more golden, and brightened the under-eyes a tad more.

Tiny tweaks. Massive difference.

It was one of those moments where experience really shows — understanding why something works and how to elevate it without overdoing it. If you’ve seen the reel where I break it all down, you already know — sometimes it’s not about more makeup, it’s about better decisions.

The Not-So-Glamorous Challenges (Yes, Including 3AM Call Times)

Let’s talk about the reality for a second.

One of the toughest parts of this season? Early start times. I’m talking 3–4AM glam calls. The kind where you wake up at 1AM wondering if you should sleep or just… accept your fate.

These weddings happen for cultural reasons, early ceremonies, or large bridal parties — and while they’re not something I take on often, they’re absolutely doable with preparation. The night before becomes sacred: full kit prep, snacks ready, water and Celsius packed, alarms triple-checked.

And yes — sometimes not everyone arrives on time. Which is why early start times exist in the first place. By the end of the day, when everyone is finished and glowing, it’s exhausting but deeply rewarding. And when the bridal party insists on feeding you? Instant serotonin.

Behind the Scenes: What You Don’t See

Bridal days don’t start the morning of — they start days before.

I prep individual brush sets, sponges, touch-up kits, restock disposables, confirm timelines, review trial notes, and send preparation guides so everyone knows exactly what to expect. The night before, I revisit inspo photos, product lists, and notes we made together.

All of that prep means the wedding day runs smoothly — and my bride gets peace of mind.

My Bridal Style (And Where It’s Headed)

My approach has always been soft glam — skin-like, seamless, cohesive. “You, but enhanced.” While I love high glam, most of my Winnipeg brides want to feel like themselves, just elevated.

Lately, I’ve been leaning deeper into Eastern beauty techniques — Korean, Thai, Douyin — especially for Asian features. It’s something I don’t see a lot of locally, and I’m passionate about bridging that gap. Soft glam & Eastern beauty techniques create some of the most flattering, romantic bridal looks — and I’m excited to continue expanding that in 2026.

Bridal Packages & What I Want You to Know

My True Blossom and Rose Garden packages are designed to make things easier — trial, wedding day, bridal party, timeline support, prep guides, and help sourcing other beauty vendors if needed.

My priority is simple: your peace of mind.

Planning a wedding is already a lot. Your glam experience shouldn’t be another stressor. I’m here to guide you, communicate clearly, adapt when needed, and make sure you feel confident, supported, and taken care of — from trial to “I do.”

Final Thoughts

Bridal season is intense, beautiful, exhausting, emotional — and incredibly rewarding. Every bride, every challenge, every early morning taught me something new.

If you’re a bride reading this: you deserve to feel like yourself, supported, and calm on your wedding day.
And if you’re an artist: growth lives in the messy moments too.

Here’s to more trust, more connection, and more magic ahead 💫
